iTunes reviews are wonderful but a one-way street. Here is every iTunes review (from V15 onwards), with a response where appropriate
App may not be perfect, but the Deb is constantly providing updates and responds very quickly to support requests/bug reports. I use this every day!

The only reason I picked up this app was for the chromecast support. Paid for the app AND to have the chromecast support enabled. It has been sketchy, but tolerable on its chromecast connection. Now it flat doesn't work. Look for something else folks. This one just nickel and dimes you for features that, quite honestly, should just be default features.
Response - Recent firmware changes to Google Cast devices stopped Chromecast working in V19. I addressed this in V19.1 as soon as I found out - I can't react any quicker than that! Not everyone want's Google Cast support, and the model of the app is a solid set of features for a very resonable price - please compare to other Subsonic clients on the AppStore.
This native iPad app is just the iPhone app zoomed for a bigger screen, they have not yet built anything to take advantage of the extra real estate for the iPad. It's also a big bummer that to get chromecast support you have to double the price of the app with an in app purchase. Also Chromecast support seems to have broken. This is the only app I have that doesn't cast properly. Don't waste your money.

Response - The iPad app is not a zoomed version of the iPhone app. While the design is similar to the iPhone app, it has it's own resources and is optimised for the iPad. While the Chromecast upgrade is a similar price to the app, it is still great value at less than the price of a cup of coffee.
Av Sub is just what I was looking for and I love that it works with my Ampache music server. Keep up the good work

For the few years, iSub has been the only worthwhile Subsonic player out there, even if it's UI had been dated. AVSub was promising when it first came out, but had a number of issues. Those issues are resolved and there have been a bunch of new and interesting features added as well. This is finally a modern app that works well and has all the bells and whistles you would expect.

suffered with the free apps. Then I bought a couple of paid apps. This is the best Subsonic app right now you won't be disappointed. The developer is very active, creating new features and refining old interactions.

It does what it is supposed to do. Support is great I had a problem with casting my music and they helped me resolve it.

Le streaming video à partir de mon serveur madsonic 5.1 ne fonctionne pas sur mon iPad 2 ios 9, malgré l'achat de l'extension video. Interface pratique et lisible, c'est dommage, j'ai cru trouver l'app parfaite mais pour la video ,je suis toujours bloqué !

Horrible app. I'm unable to cache a playlist and playing songs from one of the playlist causes the app to freeze then crash. I want a refund
Response - Please contact me (issues@avsubapp.co.uk) so that I can help resolve the issue with playlists (this email address is also in the app on the about page). Many users (including myself) are using this functionality fine but you may have an edge case.
With a free API I thought I was going to go for one of the unpaid versions of this software but boy was I wrong. This app has everything in the cleanest, smoothest and most intuitive interface. I honestly thought of writing my own app for a little while but I know I couldn't out-do this one. Give this dev the $5 and I promise you won't look back.

Looks horrible. Got is as not able to get video to work on iSub, but can’t get it to work on AVSub either and there no help on the subject. Using Subsonic 6. Waste of money.

It would appear though that if iSub doesnt work with your video then perhaps the problem is with the video? I would be happy to discuss the look and feel of the app, especially if you have ideas about how it can be improved.
This is your Subsonic iPhone app. It has an active developer who is very responsive to emails and feedback, with an ever growing feature set that makes this the best app out of the bunch. Easy to use, easy to learn - seriously your #1 choice.
This is my go to app for streaming music. Both my wife and I use almost daily. The dev has been great. He's fixed issues that I've had and also implemented several new features as well. It just keeps getting better.
Im writing my first app review because although the app has its problems, the developer has responded to me and fixed every problem I've reported. The software continues to mature over time and is worth the purchase.
